Malam Jabba

Located about 40 kilometers from Mingora, it offers a variety of activities year-round. In winter, snow blankets the area, making it ideal for skiing and snowboarding. In summer, lush green meadows and pleasant weather attract hikers and nature lovers.

Enjoy some of the most delicious fruit you’ll ever try
Swat Valley is agricultural, and picking peaches is a seasonal activity that many visitors enjoy. If you’re here in summer, local orchards are full of sweet fruit. Swat peaches are known throughout Pakistan for their quality, and eating them straight from the tree is simple but memorable. While it’s not a traditional “tourist attraction,” it is one of the most authentic things to do in Swat Valley, Pakistan.
You’ll also find plums, apricots, and walnuts depending on the time of year. Of course I’m not suggesting trying without asking, but we found that many rural families happily welcome visitors to taste and buy fruit that they grow.
Kalam Valley
Kalam Valley ranks among the most picturesque and serene places to visit in Swat Valley. Located about 99 kilometers from Mingora, Kalam is known for its stunning landscapes, cool climate, and rich biodiversity. The valley serves as the gateway to several other scenic spots and remains a favorite among tourists.

The most prominent visit was by the late Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, in 1961. Their visit was part of a broader tour of Pakistan, and they were hosted by the then Wali of Swat, Miangul Jahanzeb, who was known for his progressive reforms and modernizing efforts in the region.
Shingrai Waterfall
Shingrai Waterfall, located near Mingora, is one of the hidden gems of Swat Valley. The waterfall cascades down from a height, especially after heavy rains. It’s a lovely green area and really peaceful, great for walking and picnics. Although make sure to carry your rubbish with you after eating.
Mingora Market
No visit to Swat Valley is complete without exploring the vibrant markets of Mingora. The bustling bazaars offer a wide range of local products, including traditional handicrafts, clothing, jewelry, and souvenirs. Mingora Market is one of the lively places to visit in Swat for an authentic shopping experience.
